Fret & Fuzz publishes editorial content about guitar equipment, compiled from published manufacturer specifications. It is information, not professional advice, and we do not sell anything. By using the site you accept the terms below.

01What this site is

A publication. We compile manufacturer documentation, perform arithmetic on published figures, and write recommendations based on both. We are not a retailer, we hold no stock, we process no payments, and we are not party to any transaction you make with a retailer we link to.

We have not tested the products described here, and every page says so. How we research sets out the method and its limits in detail.

02Accuracy, and its limits

We take reasonable care that every figure published here matches the manufacturer's own documentation at the time of writing, and we cite the source so you can check it. Specifications are nonetheless revised, products are discontinued, and manufacturer pages move.

Before making a purchase or a technical decision, verify anything that matters against the manufacturer's current documentation. Where a figure here is wrong, tell us — corrections take priority over other work.

03Technical and safety information

Guidance here about impedance, power ratings and load requirements reflects manufacturers' published requirements. Following it incorrectly can damage equipment. You are responsible for verifying that a connection is appropriate for your specific amplifier and speaker before making it.

Some links here are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you buy through them at no additional cost to you. The affiliate disclosure sets out the arrangement in full. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and the retailer; we are not a party to it and cannot help with orders, delivery, returns or warranty claims.

05Intellectual property

The written content of this site is ours. You may quote from it with attribution and a link. You may not republish pages wholesale, and you may not use the content to train a model that reproduces it verbatim in place of the original.

Photography on this site is licensed stock, used illustratively. Product names, brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used here descriptively; their appearance does not imply any endorsement of this site by them, or of them by this site.

We link to manufacturer documentation and to retailers. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their practices, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific document or product it points at.
